Lecrae

A graduate of the University of North Texas, Lecrae now resides in Atlanta, GA with his wife and children. His passion for impacting urban culture persists. With a musically evolving and successful discography, nationwide tours along with the 116 Clique, and a generation of young believers around the world inspired to live unashamed; Lecrae is humbled by his position in the growing movement to bring truth to every arena. His hope is that Reach’s impact will spread far beyond simply the music and into the lives of individuals across the globe, ultimately exalting Jesus Christ.

Everything is God’s

  • I am alot of things. I’m a hip hop artist. I’m a writer and producer. I am a father. I am a husband.
  • I’m also a christian.
  • Ephesians 2
  • That’s my story. I was dead in my transgressions and sin, but God in his love, adopted me.
  • Jesus snatched me out of the darkness.
  • I was raised seeing Tupac as more of a role model than my father.
  • My perception of life was dictated by my experience. What made me happy was sex, drugs, and money.
  • Like any hedonist who finds his pleasure in sinful things, I was unsatisfied.
  • I wasn’t concerned with being known by God.
  • I’m a product of this culture. A culture where the porn industry exceeds the sports industry making 15 billion dollars per year.
  • I was brought home by the police more times than I could count before I even entered puberty.
  • The more anxiety I felt, the more hedonistic I became.
  • When people in society think, “I just want to do these things and not care about people” they become their own idols.
  • When we become our own idols, society starts to fall apart.
  • After meeting Jesus and being satisfied in Him, I wanted nothing to do with anything I was involved in before.
  • Only 10% of Christians look at life through a biblical lens.
  • We’re perpetuating religion, not a relationship with God who wants to know us intimately.
  • Every inch of the world belongs to God. Of course he has a say.
  • We’re missing out on God’s ability to be glorified in every aspect of our lives.
  • God is the only one who has pre-existed.
  • Everything created by God is good.
  • The world was affected by human sin.
  • The heart is deceitful. Adam didn’t fall because he was made out of material. He fell because he rebelled against God.
  • Plant crops, and design computers, and make music for the glory of God.
  • When God redeems us, he frees us from the guilt and power of sin.
  • I can paint a picture with my business, and my art of what the kingdom of God looks like.
  • I live to demonstrate the heart and the love of God.
